Dr. Henry BerryBoard Secretary
Dr. Berry has an Associate’s degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from the University of Nebraska, a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Management and Human Relations from Trevecca Nazarene University. He holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University and Doctoral degrees in both Theology and Philosophy from Emmanuel Theological Seminary.
Dr. Berry teaches theology and philosophy, thought at Emmanuel Theological Seminary. He also teaches a class called,” Cultural Influences at Trevecca Nazarene University. He serves on the Board of Directors at New Vision Academy Charter School in Nashville, TN. He retired in December 2016 from Metro Nashville Public Schools of 31 years. Dr. Berry has also served in the United States Air Force for six years. He served in various leadership capacities in the corporate arena for sixteen years.
Dr. Berry is presently serving as Assistant Director for the Tabernacle of Restoration Organization to help provide programs and services that enlighten, teach, transform, and bring change in the communities. He also serves in roles as Counselor: Career, Spiritual, and Grief. He is also the author of two books: Effective Habits for Christian Leaders, and Examining The Power of The Word LET: The Capacity To Make Things Happen.
Dr. Berry says, “I didn’t get into education to become famous; I simply followed my calling, my passion, and my mission.” His philosophy is “The more people, I help in life, the more I get out of life.” He wants you to remember: The Christian’s thought life should be focused on the great truths of the scriptures.
Dr. Berry has a wife, two sons, and three grandchildren. He enjoys the various roles of a researcher, speaker, author, poet, teacher, and mentor. He also enjoys reading, fishing, traveling, and spending quality time with family.
